Japanese Food Paradise

We often eat Japanese food recently. On Tuesday night, all the extension students went to a Japanese & Korean restaurant for dinner. The restaurant was small, but the clerks were very nice people. We ordered yakisoba (Japanese baked noodles), yakiniku-donburi (a big bowl of rice topped with grilled meat and vegetables), pibinpa (a Korean donburi with kimchi), Korean spicy soup and tempra (deep fried vegetables), and we shared them at a table. They were all very delicious! I liked the yakiniku-donburi and tempra the best, however Korean food was too spicy for me. I had full realization that Japanese food taste great! The restaurant also had a small market and they sold Japanese & Korean food and snacks. We were all excited and bought some Japanese snacks and sweets. We were impressed with the taste of some manju (a Japanese bun stuffed with sweet red bean paste). When we are in Japan, we don't think manju is so good. But it was very good, much better than American sweets. Because of all these things, we really enjoyed the restaurant.

Sometimes we make Japanese food by our selves in our dormitory. Yesterday, Kyoko and Megumi made many kinds of Spaghetti for us. Actually they are as poor at cooking as I am, they did great job this time, however they just boiled noodles :) All the spaghetti including natto spaghetti was very good! All the food vanished in a flash into our stomach. The other day, we made okonomiyaki and on another day, Aiko made pumpkin-nimono (Japanese boiled and seasoned pumpkin) and pumpkin soup. Both were very tasty and delicious! We were proud of her :)

Two days ago, a big box arrived for us from Japan. Our friends in Japan sent us a lot of Japanese food to us with their wonderful message inside the box, because they know Japanese food is better than American food for us. We were very surprised and happy! Also we thanked to the girls very much. We can have Japanese food whenever we want. Which is Japanese food paradise☆ Tomorrow we will eat curry :) Anyway, how kind our friends in Japan are! Also how nice Japanese food is! We love Japanese food.
