Last Sunday, I came back from the Southwest trip to Spokane. It goes without saying that the trip was absolutely fabulous! I ate and laughed a lot, and of course I learned A LOT!I enjoyed this trip very much because the weather was very nice. Although I heard that the sky is huge, it was wonderful indeed! The sky stretches as far as I can see. It was enormous! I have never seen such a big sky! It was a cloudless sky. I like taking pictures of the sky, so I took lots and lots of pictures. The sky in the Southwest is the greatest one for me so far.

I really enjoyed the scenery. It was moving. The most emotional place to me was the Grand Canyon. One of the reasons I joined this Extension program is that I would be able to go to the Grand Canyon. My parents went there in the past, and they told me about it and showed me some postcards of it. I really have wanted to go there since that time, so one of my dreams has come true NOW:) The Grand Canyon was amazing! It was soooo beautiful! I often said, 'Wow! How beautiful!' I can't express how moved I was. I felt like the happiest woman in the world:) The Grand Canyon displayed different colors such as orange, yellow and pink. I was very impressed with the beauty of nature, so I almost cried. Besides, the sunset and the sunrise were wonderful. During walking around the Grand Canyon, my group tried to speak English only almost all the time. GOOD FOR US! We chose American name for each person, so the conversation was more exciting! At night, we lied down in front of the lodge to gaze that stars. There were tons of stars, and we could see lots of shooting stars! How lovely! I had a really good time at the Grand Canyon, so I want to go to the Grand Canyon again someday, and I want to try the Sky walk there.
Finally, I was very moved when I saw real cactus. However, when I saw lots of cactus, I couldn't believe that. 'What is that? Is that a real cactus?' Everyone seemed to be excited, of course me either:) When I touched it, the thorn pricked me! 'Ouch!' But it became good experience for me. When I go back to Japan, I will show my parents and my friends the pictures of huge cactus, and no doubt they will scream and be very excited! I can't wait until I see the full of smiles of them. Through this Southwest trip, I took lots of pictures, so I may be able to open the photo studio:) HA HA... Also, I bought a lot of postcards, so it will be proof how much I enjoyed the trip. That's why, it was a fantabulous trip!
