Home made American Apple pies!

Last Saturday, I went to pick up apples with CiCi and my dorm members except for Asami and Mami (because they had homestay at that time...) We went to Apple Orchard is north of Spokane and got lots of apples, so we planed to make apple pies the next day! I was so excited because it would be my first time to make apple pies! But i was a little surprised because there were about 40 apples and CiCi said we would use all of them forapple pies. "Wow!" I wondered how many pies we would make tomorrow.

The next day , CiCi's mother and her friend came our dormitory to teach us how to make apple pies. Then, I was surprised because CiCi and her mother look very similer:) At first, all we peeled and peeled the lots of apples. I like to do that because I was peeling lots of fruit everyday when I worked as a kitchen staff at a cafe in Japan. However, Hidemi felt muscle pain and Kyoko never peeled anything in her life...(though her mother is a cooking teacher!) So, Kyoko tried to peel only one apple. It took long time but she did a good job:) After that, we sliced them and added cinnamon suger to them. They smelled sooo good!! I love cinnamon! But, then, I was surprised because I realized we were making six pies! I was also shocked because i thought apple pies included some cream inside pies in Japan, but CiCi's mother put just apples in the pies! "Really?"Finally, we baked all of them. Of course, they were too many to eat all for us, so we kept only one for usand gave the others to B-side members, advicers, Mr. Kitaguchi and Peter. I was so happy to see their smiles:) After that, we went back to our dormitory, and then we saw two people in front of our house. They're Asami and Mami! "Welcome home!" We showed them the apple pie. "It's for you!" But, their souvenir for us was also a pack of dried pear chips...They're also kind of apples...;) But they were sooo yummy! I could not stop eating them. Next, we ate the apple pie with vanilla ice cream together. It was amazing! Well, we ate lots of, lots of sweets that day. Yeah:)

The events of picking apples and making apple pies were very fun for me! I felt an autumn feeling from them. I was happy because I like autumn the best of four seasons. In autumn, the view is very beautiful and I can feel peaceful and we can do many events for fun. Now, I'm looking forward to going to pick up pumpkins for Halloween!
