I went to an apple orchard last Suturday with my group members and Lindsey; our RA. This was my first experience to pick apples. So I really was looking forward to it. When we reached the apple orchard, we saw many apple trees and some large pumpkin feilds from the van. I started to be excited. There were some boothes and they were selling caramel apples, cute juwelry, Halloween items, etc. Before picking apples, we tried to go through a big maze with corn stocks. It was more difficult and longer than we expected, and it took as long as an hour to reach the end! Inside the maze, there was a little catsle and some fake animals. Which were pretty. After that, we started picking apples. We picked about 35 apples to make apple pies :) There were many kinds of apples at this orchard. I tried some, nomal ones and sweet ones. Both were very good, much better than the apples we eat in our school cafeteria. I thought that these are true apples! The sweet ones were especially good. They were delicious! Then, we paid for the apples. It cost only about $25,0 for 35 apples. We also bought 100% apple juice and pumpkin butter. We went back home with satisfaction.

The next day, we made five apple pies, one for us, one for B-side girls, one for our advisers, one for teachers and one for a driver who took us to the apple orchard :) Lindsey's mom helped us make them. We peeled and cut a large number of apples. My hand became fatigued. Then we kneaded dough for the pie crust and spreaded it on the trays, put the apple with cinnamon sugar into the trays, covered them with pie, and baked them. It took LONG time, but the taste was so good! We ate it with vanilla ice cream. It was fabulous!
Of course the people who we gave the apple pies to were really pleased with the good looking pies. I was also glad to see their smiling faces. I had super fun two days!
