☆Thank you my host family☆

November 22 was thanksgiving holiday. It is one of the biggest holiday in America. To experience this holiday, I went to my host family's house from Wednesday night to Friday night. This weekend was so great for me. My good memories of this home stay are making pies and cookies, talking with my host family, and eating a lot of great food.

We made two apple pies and two pumpkin pies. I often cook with my host family, so to make pies is usual thing like we do every time. However, the recipe of this particular pie is special. The special recipe came down to my host mother from her mother and grandmother. So nobody know the recipe except my roommate and me. Then I can't tell anyone the special recipe at here unfortunately. The pies were so good. I think this pie is the most delicious pie among any pies which I ate in America. After I go back to Japan, I'll try to make a pie using this special recipe. Of course I'll never talk anyone the recipe.

During home stay we speak only English. This time was home stay, wasn't just home visit, so I talked a lot of things with my host family. Last session I couldn't say what I wanted to say and I sometimes couldn't communicate with them very well. However now I can say what I want to say and communicate with them more than last session. Then it is so fun to talk with them. My host family often ask me questions, and I also ask them questions, so we always talk each other. I can relax very much like they are my real my family when I stay at their home. I love my host family. I'm really happy to meet them.

Finally, speaking of thanksgiving, there are a lot of food. Main dish is turkey. Naturally, I ate turkey too. Besides that I ate hum, mashed potatoes, doubled egg and so on. My mouth watered at the wonderful meals. I ate a lot and enjoyed the marvelous food very much. Not only I but also my host family and my roommate ate a lot, so we felt sleep and took a nap after the meal.

Thanksgiving holiday was so great for me thanks to my host family. I could have really really really good time, and know what is thanksgiving. I'll never forget this fabulous memories.
