HAPPY Halloweeeen! What a CRAZY night! HA! I really enjoyed the Halloween party. It was more exciting than I imagined. Everyone seemed happy, of course me too:) My steress from studies was certainly dispelled at this fun event. Hooray for Halloween!
Before Halloween, I went to Greenbluff to get some pumpkins to make a 'Jack O' Lantern' with my group members. There were tons of pumpkins at Greenbluff, and of course each of them was different. It was a pumpkin garden! I chose a huge pumpkin, so my pumpkin was the biggest one in my group. The day before Halloween, we made a Jack O' Lantern. First of all, we hollowed out the pumpkin. Inside of the pumpkin, there were lots of seeds, so this work was a little tough for us. And the smell of pumpkin was bad, so it made me feel a little sick. After we hollowed out, finally we were able to make a wonderful Jack O' Lanterns. And then we put them on outside stairs of our dormitory. They were very cute. Thus, our amusing Halloween begun:)
Our group might have been the most exciting group because we really wanted to win the prize of the best costume. We bought only some black cloaks, two wigs and some cream makeup. How can we be transformed with just these things? Can you guess? ...The answer is
the Addams Family! Before the party, we never told any our frineds that what we would become at the party. We directed all our energies to be natural characters. All our faces were so scary and funny because we painted our face WHITE. Yes, just WHITE! In my case, in addition to this, my eyeblow was extremely DOWN! HA HA...! When we saw each other, we laughed in most cases, so we decided two passwords! 'Don't laugh anytime.' and 'Be sure to stick together. We must always be together.' We knew it would be hard, but we kept our promise. We were looking forward to the reaction of other people. Actually, it was beyond our expectation. We became like Hollywood stars at once! What a great time!
Many people took a picuture of us. I CAN'T count how many pictures were taken of us. Almost all the students wore vivid costumes but we wore uniform black and white costumes, so we attracted the attention of lots of people. Some of them said to us, 'That's so funny!' But we never laughed! GOOD JOB! We missed the winning the prize by only ONE vote. That's toooo bad! However, we ate a lot of sweets and danced a lot at the party, so we were satisfied with the Halloween. After the party, we went to another dormitories and said 'Trick or Treat!' I got lots of candies and chocolates just like childhood:) The outside was dark but the light of Jack O' Lantern was beautiful. How lovely!
I had a really good time on this holiday. I will never forget this day. I want to Japan to adopt Halloween as one of its holidays. I envy America! Everyone went bananas at the patry:) At this night, there were filled with laughter. Through Halloween, I love my friends more. What a funny friends! I love them sooooo much! If I have a chance, I want to experience Halloween again!
