Unforgettable Memories
Everything was marvelously fantastic and fan on the Southwest trip! I can't write all these stories, so I'm going to write about the most impressive things to me.
One thing that impressed me was visiting an elementary school in Acoma Pueblo. The Pueblo people are native American, and we learned about them before the trip. I think their face are between American and Japanese. Actually, at first, I didn't want to go there very much. I like children, but I didn't know how to talk and what I should talk about with them. BUT, how cute they were! The children I visited were 9-10 years old. All of them gave a letter and I gave them Japanese souvenirs; paper fans, paper balloons, origami and chopsticks. Some girls showed me their school.During the tour, the girls took turns holding my arms and hands. It seemed like a scramble for me. We played outside together. And when I have to leave, a girl gave me a piece of paper. It said, 'You are my best friend.' Another girl said, 'You can stay here!' I was so glad for their kind heart. I don't know why they liked me so much, but I love them too! I'll keep their letters forever and I'll never forget them. From this visiting, I realized how wonderful the Acoma people are!

Next, the Grand Canyon was nothing more than amazing!! I've never expected such a big, huge, enormous rock of nature. I felt tiny, tinier than ant hair. We viewed the beautiful scene for a while without saying anything. I took many pictures, but no pictures could show the real beauty of the place. I'm really a happy girl because I could see the real Grand Canyon. We got up early and went to see the sunrise. It was also beautiful. The Grand Canyon is just an enormous rock, but all people think it's beautiful. Which is a wonder. I also felt that my heart was cleaned by seeing the grand nature. At night, we went outside and lied down and viewed the starry sky. The sky was much bigger than that in cities, and there were tons of stars! I've never seen so many stars. I saw a shooting star! We talked about space while looking at the stars. It was very fun. All of this; seeing the Grand Canyon, the sunrise, the stars was great experience!
