Wonderful festival

I took part in Bon dance practice at JCC. It was such a good chance to teach American people about Japanese culture. Since I came here, I found that I did not know my own country well. I want to do as many things as possible, so i sighed up to Bon dance. I practiced from Wednesday to Friday in JCC with mu friends. At practice Erin who is a RA, danced very well. I was surprised because we practice Japanese dancing but we were taught by American woman. It was a little strange. However it was easy to remember dances. I had fun to practice these.

Today I wore Yukata which is Japanese traditional dress like a Kimono. It was a little chilly on this day but warmer than yesterday. We dressed up on and put make up our faces. Some RAs saw us and said "You are so cute." I was happy. We gathered and went to Vally fest. It was held in the park near Valley Moll. There were many people and booths at this festival. Also there were many cars, I did not why the cars were been sold there. People gazed and some people took pictures because we were waring Yukata. I talked with some people about Yukata. We danced on the stage and we danced with American people the Last song. It was exciting. I was pleased at dancing with them. I was satisfied with my dancing. It was so fun.

After it, I looked around the festival with my friends. There were a lot of interesting things for us, such as competition for cutting a thick log and doing Karate. I ate lunch and played in booths. Some were free. It was so good for us because we did not a lot of money. However we enjoyed this festival.

One thing really surprised me. I saw my host father there. I was really surprised, I have not seen him since I came here this session. At this festival, I had a good time and gained a lot of memories there.
