☆One more great family of mine☆

I have two families that I love. One of the families is my own family in Japan, and the other is my hosy family in America. Last weekend I met my host family after a long separation. I hadn't met them for a long time, so I was little nervous at first. However, that feeling was dispelled because of their hearty smile when I met them.

First, they pickd me up at my dormitory, then we went to a church. This was the first time for me to go to the church except class. There are two girls in my host family, and they had a class at the church. I joined the class with one of the girls. But !!! Though I took part in the bible class because she invited me, there were only children there except the two teachers. Many children stared at me strangely, so I was a little uncomfortable. I didn't know what to do, so I decided to help the teachers. I was confused about my situation there, but it was a good oppotunity for me because I know that how American students study the bible. After the class of the church, we went to the Costco. That day I was surprised at this shopping place the most. I thought the store wasn't normal store and it was like a factory. Everything is so huge and cheap. I have never seen such a store before. I thought that this was just in America. I said only "Wow~~~~~!". My mouth dropped open when I saw the store. I was so interested in this store and I like it. After the store, we went home, then I cooked dinner with my host family. We made salmon grill, salad, garlic toast, and Cuban garlic rice. My host parents come from Cuba and Mexico, so I often eat Mecican food with them. On that day I ate Cuban rice for the first time, and it was very good because I thoght that the rice was like Japanese rice a little. I had a wonderful time with them.

When I stayed with my host family in America, I can relax. They let us experience various things. On this day, I could experience church, American shopping, and new food. It was great for me. I love my host family, and I'm looking forward to seeing them next time.
