Super Wonderful People around Me

Finally I accomplished my presentation. More than 160 guests came to the small hall! The number was what we didn't expect. On the night, my dormitory members had presentations. Yasuko, Kyoko and I talked about "onsen", which is Japanese hot spring, for 30 minutes.

Before we went to the hall, our friends encouraged us to succeed with our presentations and gave us hugs at the cafeteria. Also at our dormitory, B-side Education girls cheered us up with a big piece of paper that said "You can do it!!!" and our names. That made me surprised and really moved! And I determined to just do it and succeed for them.

I was the last person to speak. While I was waiting for my turn, I was not so nervous. But I got nervous the moment my turn came, and lost my usual voice and it was a little shaking! But I continued to speak and recovered my voice soon. My speech came out of my mouth automatically with few mistakes because of lots of practices. During the presentation, I saw many faces. Ron, Cathy, Mori-san, Junko-san, Erin, Anna, Jill, host families, my friends, people who I don't know......everyone was smiling at me, nodded many times and gave reactions to my Power Point and my speech. I was so happy. They really listened to me and understood me. They were watching me really warmly. They were with me.
After we finished, our teachers, RAs, friends and advisers came to us and hugged us and really praised us for our presentations. A teacher said that our presentations were the best ever. I was really glad to hear that. Some of our friends cried for us. They said that they were moved by our effort. My heart filled with joy and relief. At the same time my eyes filled with tears. I really realized how kind and how nice and how wonderful people around me! We have more presenters until Thursday. So I want to support them and I hope their success. I'm sure they will do great job because I know how hardly they have worked and practiced for their presentations.

Hidemi,

Wonderful pictures and excellent writing about your tremendous experience. I wish I could have been there too, but I will watch your video. I heard nothing but great things about your group's presentation. I was glad to have a moment yesterday and share a little dinner and conversation with you. I would love to do it again.

Hello Hidemi! I read this blog of yours and was impressed very much
in japan. I could not listen to your wonderful presentation at that holl, however, I certainly suppose you did a very good job
with your frends. I am very proud of having a great daughter like you.
