The Basketball Game
I went to watch a basketball game in Portland. It was the first time for me to watch a professional basketball game in America. I don't watch a basketball on the TV. I have watched a professional basketball in Japan when I was a elementary school student, Although they were not very famous, I really enjoyed the game. I watched it in a big gym. I watched it from the stands. I could take a seat near the court, so I could watch the players at close range. I had thought that basketball in America would be held in a gym and I could watch the game near the court as well as in Japan. However, it was held in a big dome. Many people flowed into the dome. I was disappointed because my seat was on the 3rd floor and I had to look down at the court from there. The court was as small as a notebook and the players were as tiny as beans. I didn't think I could enjoy the game at first, but I enjoyed it very much. I could only watch it at quite a distance away, still it was powerful! It was so thrilling that I shouted and my heart beat strongly all the time. Trail Blazers, which was the team I cheered for, and Dallas Mavericks were tight, so I was always on the edge of my seat. The players moved the length of the court at amazing speed and they shot in a row. The game went on at a fast pace. I liked the speeding game. The speed was much faster than Japanese players' one. I wondered if I could watch it at close range, how much I could enjoy the speed. I really wanted to watch it from a seat by the court. Finally, Trail Blazers distanced Dallas and won! I was hoarse from shouting at the end of the game.
