I've Never Been This Happy!

My favorite place on the Southwest trip is, of course the Grand Canyon!! It was amazing, so I was too surprised to believe it. Some of my friends cried when they saw the Grand Canyon for the first time. I understood that because I'd never seen such a lovely landscape since in all of my life. I have a lot of great memories of that place. I will never forget them.

I belong to the movie club at MFWI, so we took a movie at the Grand Canyon. We danced with the lovely landscape behind this. I was so excited. But we had to be careful not to approach the cliff because if we had done that, we might have fallen down. Some tourists took our picture while we were dancing. It is probably rare to dance at the Grand Canyon. I think the tourists thought we were movie stars. It was so exciting to dance there and I was happy to dance with my friends! We will show the dance movie at the Awards ceremony and I think everyone will be happy to see it.

Also, we could see a lot of stars at the Grand Canyon! I'd never seen such a lot of stars because there are many lights at night in Japan. I was surprised, I felt the moonlight was dazzling because of the darkness in the sky. I lay down on the ground with my friends and saw the stars. I could see two shooting stars for two days. It was difficult for me to find a shooting star, but my friends saw two or three shooting stars right away. However, Serina and I couldn't see any for and hour and half. We looked for them really hard. Then we saw a big shooting star light over us. We were a little crazy then. We hugged each other in excitement, so I forgot to wish upon the star. And when we found one more shooting star the next day, I also fogot to wish. It was very cold there at night but I didn't feel cold by the brightness of the stars.

Another great memory, I have is of a small party we had at night in our hotel room. It was so fun. On the first day at the Grand Canyon, we played a card game with my housemates. We were excited and laughing so much. The game is if I lose the game, I have to receive a penalty. I didn't want to get the penalty and I lost only one game. It was an unforgettable day for me because of the penalty....... On the second day, Serina, Sayoko, and I planned to play the card game with lots of our friends in Sayoko and Serina's room. But when Mami and I went to their room, we were surprised that only Sayoko and Serina were there. We were wating for about a half hour. But nobody came, so we decided just to talk. Then Hidemi and Chisato came to the room. We talked, talked, talked, and talked. It was so fun! But Sayoko noticed strange smell in the room. I knew what it was because it's my best friend M's smelly feet. I'm sorry, I can't tell you her name because I have to protect her privacy. But the smell is terrible! I advised M to change her shoes. We slept with Mami and Sayoko in their room that day. I like to spend time with my friends. They are funny and great. I really treasure them.

I enjoyed the Southwest trip with my friends and I had a great experience there. I will never forget this trip. It is not often that we can experience a trip like this at our age. I really appreciate all of the people who supported me on the trip such as teachers, my parents, the tourguide, the busdriver, the adviser, and my friends. Thank you very much! I enjoyed the Southwest trip.
