I am a lucky girl because I have good friends, good teachers, and a good host family ay MFWI. I cannot imagine living without them here. I like to laugh as much as I can. Of course, you know, it is difficult to laugh by myself, but many people make me happy. First, my friends are very interesting. This is because they each have very difference characters. A few days ago, we found a game in which we could not say the word "cold." That makes it very hard for me to continue a conversation with my friends. It's because I often say "cold" and winter is coming! Then my friends and I say
"Today is very Whooooo!" and "I don't like Whoooo!" This Wooooo means cold. That would be a strange conversation if other students heard us. Also, in class, students have a lot of energy and I can see many smiles in class. That makes me happy. If I don't feel good, their smiles relax me and make me forget my problems. Second, the teachers are also amazing because sometime they have more energy than us. In addition, they tell us some funny stories that I was not expected. I like talking with teacher about the differences in culture between America and Japan such as "kanashibari" and other experiences of Japan. I don't think it's a waste of time to talk about those things in class or out of class. My expression always changes when we talk about things like that. My expression shows sadness, happiness, surprise, or fear. Finally, I always have a great time with my host family. They speak to us, tell us jokes, and play with us as if we were really family. When I finished my dinner and I was relaxing on the sofa, my host mother said, "Come here." She showed us that she could do magic with water, so I wanted to see the magic. I went there and I looked at the water, which is on the table. Suddenly she hit the water! And of course my face and clothes got wet! (Oh no!!) Now, that is funny story. I feel good that they take good care of us. So everyday there are many things happening around me at MFWI. I know that I want to keep these good memories, so I need to keep a diary and I must bring a camera in my bag to take pictures of these enjoyable moments. Now I am really enjoying this semester with a smile.
